Harris House takes the coronavirus threat very seriously and has taken many precautions to keep our clients and our community safe. Here is how we are handling treatment during this critical time.
- Detox and Intensive Inpatient– These levels of care of critical care remain open as usual. Counseling staff remains committed to providing the best program and service available anywhere. We use a high level of screening for new admissions to maintain the safest environment possible. Single rooms are being made available to clients most of the time when possible.
Although visitors are not present on premises during this stage of the pandemic, family group is conducted every Wednesday evening and Saturday via telehealth. Staff and client temperatures are taken daily. Great meals are passed by kitchen staff with gloves and mask. Many group sessions are held outdoors, weather permitting. Meeting rooms are large enough to allow clients to spread out. Extra cleaning staff is here daily to maintain a great environment.
Admissions are available 7 days a week, preferred on weekdays because that is when most insurance companies are open for coverage verification.
- Intensive Outpatient– This level of care remains open as a telehealth option. The same staff provide the same services as when it was in-house, but now available from the comfort and safety of your own home for the time being. Intensive Outpatient meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9am to 12 noon, is reimbursable by insurance.
We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment during this challenging time. There have been no coronavirus issues at our facility, and we work hard to keep it that way.
