Laura Poulter graduated from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis with a Master’s degree in social work. Laura completed her clinical training at Harris House working to address addiction with mental health concentration. In addition to addiction work, Laura has prior experience collaborating with clients who have eating, mood, and anxiety disorders as well as suicidal ideation, abusive relationships, and homelessness. Laura’s treatment modalities include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Perspective, and Capacity Building. Laura utilizes these skills in both her counseling and admissions related roles to engage with clients as they work to create a balanced life in recovery.
